I was looking forward to what Sommer produced next. His first novel was very different from what I had read before. I really enjoy how complex it was and the psychology aspects in contained. I wasn't disappointed with this one.

I have to be honest and say I don't remember much about the characters from The Manufactured Identity. There was so much going on in that book. I was afraid that fact would hinder my enjoyment of this one. It didn't. The book draws you in from the prologue. At first, the constant switch in narrative is distracting. But, I knew from experience that everything would be tied together. Gradually the story flow into one stream and you get to know the characters. All of them are suffering from sort of psychological problem in varying degrees. I liked watching them all sort through their problems. And once again, the author shows his knowledge in the area. It's not written from the perspective of someone who has done a lot of research. It feels genuine and real.

I liked the intensity of the novel. We know something big is going to happen, but we don't know to whom or who will be the culprit. I wasn't even sure if it was a character in the novel or some outside force. The true psychosis of the villain was awesome. I love how the author is able to make a villain seem like any person you might know. The "craziness" is buried deep within. And with the problems the characters are hiding from each other, it really good have been anybody.

I liked the theoretical questions this novel asks. God plays a big part of it and I enjoyed it for the most part. But, in the end it kind of turned me off. I could have done without the whole classroom scene. It's just got a little preachy there and felt a little out of place with the rest of the story. The pacing was a little off for me as well. It seems a short amount of time goes by in a few chapters and then all of a sudden months of past. The only real indication of this is wording in the story. It's almost like the chapters need a timeline.

But, overall I still really enjoyed this story. Dr. Sommer has proved he has something to offer the mystery/thriller genre. I will be looking forward to what he writes next!

Heath Sommer's thriller The Grand Delusion was Awesome!! After reading the first thriller The Manufactured Identity I didn't think he could top that one. He gave such a realistic view into the mind of the "mentally ill". It is truly fasinating and a little scary at the same time. It was something that grabbed my attention and drew me in immediately. I just love the fact that Dr. Sommer isn't shy to talk about things that most people are afraid to say outloud. He is very insightful and really makes you think for weeks after the book is done. I give this book an A+. I just can't wait untill the next one comes out. I NEED to know what happens next.

I read Mr. Sommer's previous book, The Manufactured Identity last year. I really enjoyed reading it. This one didn't disappoint me either. It is full of physiological terror. Along with mystery and murder. You know something big is going to happen, but your not quite sure who it will be. Mr. Sommer is able to make the villain seem like any person you might see on the street or know. Do Addy, John, Merci and Frank find the person? What do they find out when they do? Is the mystery solved? You'll have to read the book to find out.

This is a great book for telescope users and a fine one for ordinary browsers. It is an up-to-date atlas of the observable part of the moon. Maps of the moon compose the bulk of the book's 224 pages.

The introduction discusses history, terminology, phases of the moon, and the moon's surface. This is followed by maps of 76 sections of the near side of the moon, each accompanied by a small locator map. Facing pages include place-names and their derivations as well as map coordinates. Following the maps are photographs of interesting lunar formations (craters, ring mountains, walled plains), advice on setting up and using a telescope, descriptions of eclipses, and a glossary. There is a thorough bibliography and index of named formations at the end of the book. One can look up Amundsen, for example, and locate the ring mountain named after him.

The only comparable works are Moon-Mars-Venus (Hamlyn, 1976) and Alter's Pictorial Guide to the Moon (1967). This new book has far more information clearly presented, and names are up-to-date. As director of the Prague Planetarium, the author is knowledgeable and explains terms clearly. Any library with even one patron interested in or studying astronomy should consider this book.

More than a reference book - a genuine work of art!

It's a shame this magnificent atlas of the Moon is out of print. The copy I ordered was a withdrawn school library copy. What was a terrible loss for Huntley, Illinois, was my inestimable gain.

Antonin Rukl's cartography - nay, his artwork - in this volume brings the lunar surface to life in ways that no photographic atlas possibly can. Lunar photographs are too dependent on the light angles at the moment of imaging, whereas Rukl's drawings capture every nuance of the surface, leaving nothing lost in shadow. And besides, Rukl's maps are BEAUTIFUL!!!

I just took it out with me for the first time this evening for a night of lunar observation. I was concentrating on the area around the crater Clavius, and this atlas was indispensable in helping to make sense out of the impossibly complex jumble of detail visible in one's eyepiece. I can foresee this book being my indispensable companion on future lunar explorations.

If you are the least bit interested in observing the Moon for yourself, then get a copy of this atlas before they're all gone. (They're not making any more.) Don't worry about the condition. I almost wish that my copy was a bit more beaten up. It would make it easier for me to mark it up with my own notes, which I really want to do. I may have to buy a second copy in worse shape!

I've been an amateur stargazer for more than 40 years, but I've never spent much time on the moon. I always got lost in the confusing jumble of chaos, especially in the lunar highlands. This atlas is MUCH easier for me to figure out what I'm looking at than any of the photographic atlases I've attempted to use in the past, mainly (I figure) because the views are charted out without the drastically changing views brought on by different angles of illumination. I should have sprung for one of these a long time ago for those nights when the moon is drowning out the dim fuzzies I usually search out.

The BEST Moon Atlas ever printed. An investment

Just received my first copy of Antonin Rukl Atlas of the Moon. I'm an amateur astronomer for over 40 years and have seen over a dozen different Moon Atlas. This INMO is the BEST. However its out of print and expensive. I could not afford the supposedly better second edition upgrade. Now going for about $370.If I hit the LOTTO Im buying one.

I bought the 1st edition hardcover for over $115 in Very Good condition and another copy in Good condition for $48.These prices to me are a lot of money for a Moon Atlas but the Rukl Moon Atlas is no ordinary Moon Atlas. The price skyrocketed as they are the BEST, out of print and hard to find at a reasonable price. Part of the reason I bought them is as an investment to pass down to my 2 children. I expect the price to go up more on this beautiful Moon Atlas.

Ill use the Rukl moon Atlas time and time again as I view the moon, always treasure it but keep it away from food, drink, smoke and animals.

Antonin Rukl was the director of the Prague Planetarium. He obviously was a master at hand drawing the moon. So detailed its incredible. Also so much moon information and info about moon flights and history of the people various craters named after. This Atlas has it all. The first edition is 224 pages, extremely well written and richly illustrated with hand drawings and photos.Atlas is on good quality paper. Should last a long time.

If you like viewing the Moon or want detailed info on it this is the atlas to get. Plus INMO because of the quality and scarcity of this out of print Moon Atlas the price will continue to go up. Buy one in good shape and enjoy using it. Keep it in good condition and you will have a good investment too.

About the Author
When Floyd Cooper discovered children's book illustrating, he found a way to complement his career in advertising. An apprentice of Mark English, Mr. Cooper began his freelance career while still a student at the University of Oklahoma. After graduating, he made his way to Missouri, where he secured a position at a greeting card company.

Although Mr. Cooper was established in his position there, he felt somewhat stifled. He lacked the freedom and opportunity for spontaneity that he longed for as an artist and the joy that could be found in doing something that he loved.

Determined to break out of the mundane cycle he found himself in, Mr. Cooper relocated to the East Coast in 1984 to pursue his career further. It was there that he discovered the world of children's book illustrating and was amazed by the opportunities for creativity it afforded. Mr. Cooper was energized. The first book he illustrated, Grandpa's Face, captivated reviewers. Publishers Weekly said of newcomer Floyd Cooper's work, "Cooper, in his first picture book, creates family scenes of extraordinary illumination. He reinforces in the pictures the feelings of warmth and affection that exist between generations."

Illustrating children's books is very important to Mr. Cooper. He says, "I feel children are at the frontline in improving society. This might sound a little heavy, but it's true. I feel children's picture books play a role in counteracting all the violence and other negative images conveyed in the media."

Floyd Cooper resides in New Jersey with his wife, Velma, and their two sons.

The GREAT ONES usually start from HUMBLE BEGINNINGS

Floyd Cooper's book is the perfect introduction to the early life of one of America's literary giants. This biography covers so much ground, with historical references, as well as stressing the importance of family, that the book is an asset to teach different subject areas.

Smaller children can relate to the simple narrative, while older readers can make connections between the young "dreamer" and the works for which he would be later known.

The book could fit easily in the library of both an elementary or high school.

This story is so moving. Showing hardships, love, and finding acceptance.It tells of an Afician child learning about his history and walking tall as a man. It was very moving, the pictures were soft and had a texture of warmth. I would highly recommend it for reading.

Wonderful Illustrations

The watercolor illustrations employed represent the setting perfectly, regardless if the point in the story was that of a rural Kansas, Kansas City street life, and Mexican village. What wonderful impressionistic artwork! There seems to be an inner light in the faces of each person represented in the illustrations.
The action and music portrayed in the text, carries over into the illustrations. The book's illustrations show movement and action. A sense of happiness or loneliness is conveyed through the watercolor paintings. They are very explicit in showing emotion. Overall, text and illustrations, lend this to being one of the best biographical books for young children.

Tracking your trades for profit

This is a great trading book that covers two important aspects of trading: discipline and keeping a trading journal. Author Toni Hansen shows the reader how to correctly track each trade by logging it as soon as possible after it happens to capture the thoughts and emotions linked to that trade. She also shows how to analyze the type of trade it was, the time of day it took place, and the method you used, by doing this you can more clearly see your strengths and weaknesses in different types of trades. You will use the information you gather to correct your losing trades by adjusting areas that you see are causing losses, it could be to big of position sizing in a certain trade,you may have entered the trade to late, or traded a security that does not fit your personality. By keeping an accurate trading journal this book shows how you can track, analyze, correct, and learn to be a better trader and profit from this education.
While the keeping of a trading journal is the main theme of the book it also offers great advice for good trading. You must focus your trades on markets and securities you know well. You must have a focused trading plan and master the art of reading price action in the markets. New traders must narrow down this field and discover the areas of the market for which they have the most natural aptitude. When trading, the ability to think and act swiftly without hesitation is a major key to your success. You will learn why the five building blocks to price development are pace, support and resistance, trend development, volume, and correction periods and how to read and profit from them. The book offers great advice for beginners like: "An important concept for any trader to learn early on, however, is that cash itself is a position." And "A trading system is only as good as your ability to implement it." You will also see how the impact of your emotions will have a huge impact upon your success or failure in trading. This book will be a five star for beginning traders that are just getting started on building a trading system and learning how to learn from their mistakes. Veteran traders will learn little but may need a refreshment course on discipline if they have gotten off track. Also check out Alexander Elder's trading books for a more in depth understanding of the psychology and discipline needed to be a successful trader.

Use it or Lose it!

Use a journal or lose your dough - it's a simple enough message but Toni's "Simple Steps" is a wakeup call for those of us who haven't managed to persistently do so. She accepts no excuses, guys. A journal will enhance trading performance and give long-lasting pleasure .

Overall, pretty good book. For those (financial markets) traders who do not recognize the value of maintaining (and referring back to) some sort of trading journal, this is an essential read.

not quite 5 stars
I have rated it 4 stars because...

Some problems (and I hope that the author sees this):

(1) Author refers to online trading blogs that the reader will be able to locate. Well, because my knowledge of this subject area is limited, I don't know where to locate the online resources which she vaguely refers to. Only two web links are provided, one of them was a dead link and she has a connection with the other (blog.traderslibrary.com). Given all the experience the author has in this area, I fully expected a bibliography running at least 15 pages, so that I could continue my research in this subject area. Imagine my surprise that no appendix (no bibliography) is provided.

(2) And further to number (1), I wanted to see more examples. She refers to various types of trading journals. Various approaches to journalizing. I wanted to see actual multi-page real-life examples of each of the journal approaches which she mentions.

(3) The author assumes that all readers approach the financial markets in the same way that she trades. This has the effect of limiting the usefulness of some of her advice. Author assumes we all trade the same markets, all use technical analysis, all use charts with lines and arrows, etc. Actually, there are many different ways to approach trading the many financial markets. Nearly all devotees of classical technical analysis seem unaware of this. They assume everyone views the markets the same way that they see the markets. I do not use technical analysis. I know that this will come as a shock to all you "Gravestone Doji" and "Abandoned Baby" people but there are additional ways to skin this cat.

About the Author
Joseph M. Bessette is the Alice Tweed Tuohy Professor of Government and Ethics at Claremont McKenna College (CMC), where he has been on the faculty since 1990. He also teaches courses in the Department of Politics and Policy at the Claremont Graduate University. Dr. Bessette received a B.S. in Physics from Boston College and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Chicago. Prior to coming to CMC, he served as Deputy Director and Acting Director of the Bureau of Justice Statistics in the U.S. Department of Justice (1985-1990) and as Director of Planning, Training, and Management for the Cook County, Illinois, State's Attorney's Office (1981-1984). Dr. Bessette has also held full-time teaching positions at the University of Virginia and The Catholic University of America. He is the author of, among other works, THE MILD VOICE OF REASON: DELIBERATIVE DEMOCRACY AND AMERICAN NATIONAL GOVERNMENT and co-editor and contributor to THE PRESIDENCY IN THE CONSTITUTIONAL ORDER and THE CONSTITUTIONAL PRESIDENCY. He is currently working on a book on the death penalty in the United States.

John J. Pitney, Jr., is the Roy P. Crocker Professor of American Politics at Claremont McKenna College in Claremont, California. He received his B.A. in political science from Union College, where he was co-valedictorian. He earned his Ph.D. in political science at Yale, where he was a National Science Foundation Fellow. Dr. Pitney has been named as one of The Princeton Review's Top 300 College Professors for 2012. From 1978 to 1980, he worked in the New York State Senate and from 1983 to 1984, as a Congressional Fellow of the American Political Science Association, he worked for Senator Alfonse D'Amato of New York and the House Republican Policy Committee, chaired by Representative Dick Cheney of Wyoming. From 1984 to 1986, he was senior domestic policy analyst for the House Republican Research Committee. He joined the Claremont McKenna College faculty in 1986. From 1989 to 1991, during a leave of absence, he worked at the Research Department of the Republican National Committee, first as deputy director, then as acting director. He has written articles for THE WASHINGTON POST, THE WEEKLY STANDARD, THE WALL STREET JOURNAL, THE LOS ANGELES TIMES, and ROLL CALL, among others. His scholarly works include THE ART OF POLITICAL WARFARE, published in 2000 by the University of Oklahoma Press.

Lyle C. Brown, Ph.D., University of Texas at Austin, is Professor Emeritus at Baylor University. Other academic experience includes teaching at Mexico City College (now University of the Americas), Texas College of Arts & Industries (now Texas A&M University-Kingsville), and Wayland Baptist College (now Wayland Baptist University). Lyle served as president of the Southwest Council of Latin American Studies. He is co-editor of RELIGION IN LATIN AMERICAN LIFE AND LITERATURE and author or co-author of articles in professional journals, anthologies, and textbooks. His involvement in Texas politics includes participation in precinct, county, and state conventions.

Joyce Langenegger teaches government at Blinn College-Bryan and is the Director of Professional Development. She received her M.A. and J.D. from Baylor University and an M.A. and Ph.D. from Fielding Graduate University. She was named the Blinn College-Bryan Academic Faculty Member of the Year for 2014. She has been named to WHO'S WHO AMONG AMERICA'S TEACHERS three times and received a NISOD Award for Teaching Excellence and a "Most Valuable Player" award from San Jacinto College for her work there as a professor and an administrator. Joyce is a frequent workshop presenter on innovative teaching strategies. She practiced law for a number of years and has been involved with politics at the local and state level.

Sonia Garcia is Professor at St. Mary's University in San Antonio, TX, where she serves as the graduate director for the Political Science Program, the Coordinator for the Women's Studies Program, as well as the Coordinator for the U.S. Latino/Latin American Studies Program. She has also served as Chair of the Political Science Department. A graduate from St. Mary's, Dr. Garcia received her Master's from the University of Arizona, and her Ph.D. from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Dr. Garcia teaches courses in Texas politics, constitutional law, civil rights, and women & politics. She has published articles on Latina politics, and is a co-author of a book entitled, Mexican Americans & the Law: El Pueblo Unido Jam�s Ser� Vencido, released in 2004. Dr. Garcia is also the lead author of another book, entitled Politicas: Latina Public Officials in Texas, released in 2007, which examines the first Mexican American women elected to public office in the state of Texas from various levels of offices.

Like most college text today, it is quite liberally biased

Like most college text today, it is quite liberally biased. Personally I wish there was some balance between conservative and liberal thought. Furthermore I would enjoy more discussion on the Founder's original intent as America has drifted so far from that shore that we can no longer see the lighthouse.

The book was sent in perfect time; better than I had hoped. A minor oversight on my part; I needed the Texas edition of this book. However it has been quite useful. I would certainly use this company's service in the near future.
